Mornings and evenings have gotten pretty chilly. Around this time of year, whatever my friends and I are talking about somehow ends up on winter. So I pulled the "Winter Vibes" theme from our balance game app Infinite Balance. Seven questions.
1. It's the first snow of the year. What do you do?
AIt's the first snow, I'm going out
BToo cold, I'll watch from inside

I go out. Regular snow, sure, I can skip. The first one feels different.
Last year it started around 11 at night. I threw a puffer on over my pajamas and walked to the corner store and back. I didn't even need anything. I just wanted to walk in it.
2. Buying coffee in winter?
AIced, even if I freeze
BWanna freeze? Hot Americano, obviously

Hot, for me. Half the point is warming up my hands.
The guy who sits next to me at work drinks iced coffee all winter long. He'll be in a puffer, hands shaking, still going at it through a straw. I find it fascinating. If you're on team iced in winter, I genuinely want to know what's good about it on a freezing day.
3. Which would you rather do?
AWear a puffer coat every day all summer
BWear a T-shirt every day all winter

This one took me a while. At first I thought the T-shirt was easier. Once you're inside, the heat's on anyway.
Then I thought about getting there. Standing at a bus stop at 14°F in short sleeves? No way. With the puffer you can at least unzip it. So I ended up on the puffer.
4. Back from the slopes, what do you want more?
AHot chocolate
BA bowl of chili

Chili. Hot chocolate is great, but after a day of skiing I'm starving and I need real food. Which one are you grabbing?
5. Snow day with friends. What are you doing?
ASnowball fight
BBuild a snowman

Snowman for me. A snowball fight is fun for about five minutes. After that it's mostly snow down the back of my neck.
My younger brother is all in on snowball fights. When we were kids, any time I started a snowman, he'd hit me from behind. Our snowmen never got past halfway.
6. If you had to live in one season forever?
AWinter forever
BSummer forever

Winter. When it's cold you can add layers. When it's hot, there's nothing you can do.
7. Which winter trip would you take?
ACozy hot spring getaway
BScenic train trip

I went back and forth on this one until the very end. I want to do both.
I picked the hot spring. Snow falling all around while you're sitting in hot water is something you only get in winter. Still, riding a train past snowy mountains is on my list for someday. If you picked the train, where would you go?
Out of the seven, how many did you pick the same as me? Infinite Balance gets a new theme like this every week. If you want to play along with your friends, grab it here.
